About Us

We are just two people who share a love of boats, water and adventure.  Before I met Brian, I thought that I might buy a boat and keep it in a marina in Florida and work remotely.  When Brian and I first met he was living part-time on his boat.  We were off to a good start with all the common boat interest!  In all my looking for boats, I ended up finding one I thought wos worth checking out and it just so happened to be the same design as Brian's sailboat, a CSY.  The boat was advertised as being in Florida but when we started making real plans to go see it, we were informed it was in Mexico, but we took the chance and booked a trip to Cancun.  We were both visiting sons for Thanksgiving and met in Denver to fly to Cancun.  That boat didn't work out but it started our winter adventures to warm climates and the dream of owning a boat in the tropics was now a shared vision.

All of this began during the Pandemic, so everything was very inexpensive and we had many beaches, hotels, and restaurants almost completely to ourselves.  It was a great start to our relationship even as the world struggled. We went on to spend the next two winters in Mexico, one in Panama and last year in the Virgin Islands.

Last fall, after many hours scouring boat listings and making a few unsuccessful offers, we landed on Fantasea, a 48' motor yacht.  We got an excellent deal from the previous owners who had done some great electronic upgrades but never really got to enjoy her.  Our dream of living on a boat and working remotely is coming together.

So this is our journey from purchasing M/Y Fantasea in Punta Gorda Florida in August, 2024 and taking her across the state of Florida this winter, getting her down to Fort Lauderdale and onto a transport ship (we decided not to make the trip with an unfamiliar boat the 1800 nautical miles ourselves) and arriving in the Virgin Islands to spend the next several winters.
